GÖREV is a research project focused on developing sustainable, scalable, and task-oriented communication methods for Machine-Type Communications and future 6G networks. The project aims to move beyond conventional data-centric networking by designing algorithms and protocols that prioritize the usefulness, timeliness, and task relevance of transmitted information.
By combining goal-oriented data generation, scheduling, random access, and experimental validation, GÖREV contributes to the development of more efficient communication systems for dense IoT and machine-type networks.
Main Research Areas
Goal-oriented data generation and transmission
Task-aware sampling and scheduling
Random access protocols for massive Machine-Type Communications
Energy-efficient and delay-sensitive networking
Experimental validation using Wi-Fi, LPWAN, LoRa, and connected mobility platforms.
